i was cleaning my parents' bathroom a few minutes ago. i had greetings from michigan blaring from their overpriced bose wave-thing alarm clock because my dad is home early and practicing his guitar playing and his amp obviously goes to eleven. they also mourn those who do not wear black started to play.
i sat on the edge of their broken jacuzzi and sobbed for about three minutes. that song added to the love and generosity of my friends solely got me through fall's month-long hurricane evacuation extravaganza.
i owe a lot of people more than gratitude and feel insanely cheap because that's all i have. |

criteria is playing in baton rouge friday night.
i've been looking forward to it for so long, so if i feel well enough to drive to lafayette or have someone drive me, peyton may be able to pick me up from there. this means that if you read this and are within 500 miles of baton rouge and off of work, you'd better be at northgate tavern friday evening. i've grown to love this band and i am terrified no one will go because it hasn't really been publicized. i am going to call it a party for myself, like, an "it's not a tumor!!" party.
if you live farther than this, go see them when they come by your town. they'll be in atlanta at the earl on wednesday and you can send lots of amazing presents for your dearest friend jessica with them. preferably a pony or unicorn.
thank you all warmly & tremendously for your suggestions--i haven't had time to reply yet because my brother has been playing warcraft almost continuously since he awoke and i haven't been able to fight him from the computer for more than five minutes at a time, tops. |
